Persecution runs rampant in Pakistan
We often hear about the persecution of Christians in other countries, but their stories can seem distant and far-removed from our lives. We have become aware of a specific family who requires assistance. We desire to raise funds for this family: to aid with sponsorship and their immigration to Canada.
The Sohail Family have come under tremendous persecution in their homeland of Pakistan. Several family members have been killed for their faith. Others have been attacked. This precious family fled for their lives after being pursued by those who would use the country's blasphemy law as an excuse to eradicate Christians and Christianity. As they were fleeing the country, the militant group who was pursuing them broke down the front door of their house in their efforts to capture and kill the family. The Sohails are currently hiding out in Thailand, where they are not able to seek asylum. Thailand considers asylum-seekers illegals, so this is not a safe place for their family to remain. The photo above has been obscured in order to preserve the anonymity that currently keeps the family safe in hiding.
Please keep this family of five in your prayers. They fear that they will be arrested and returned to Pakistan where their lives will be in imminent danger. We desire to bring them to Canada where they will be safe and can start their lives over without fear of attack or death. If you would like to donate your time to helping this family, please contact Dale by emailing here.
If you are able to donate to support this family and their immigration to Canada, please do so by clicking below. Choose "Persecuted Christians" under giving types. Alternatively, the same note can be made on a tithe envelope Sunday morning if you would prefer to donate cheque or cash.
